Use-Cases (Tourism Bureau)

This page describes how a destination can benefit by having content on the EventScouts network.

Our USP are flexible lists. Those list features and the core mechanics of our platform are game changers in the industry. For tourism bureau we highly suggest uploading as much quality content as possible - especially since it is free.

Lists and cards

Our platform is based on lists and cards. We let users 'save & subscribe' to any other user-generated list. This creates an interconnected network for activities & events. Users may be anything from Tourism Bureaus, Travel Agencies, Bloggers, Influencers, Companies or simply Locals or Tourists who all reuse existing content to mix & match with new content for their very own lists and target groups. Full flexibility Our lists are fully flexible. This means each user can not only reposition a card within his own list but more importantly copy cards from other people's lists - simply by 'drag & drop'. This means that certain activities or events may be reused in hundreds or thousands of different lists.

Why is this important?

Let's make an example: The official tourism bureau from Dubai (Visit Dubai) creates a list containing '99 things to do in Dubai'. With only drag & drop tourism agencies all over the world can now copy the best content into their own list to create their very own "best of Dubai" list for their target group or their customer.

Save & Subscribe

Travel agencies all over the world - and also other users - can click the 'save & subscribe' button for any of the list Visit Dubai creates.

Visit Dubai may have created the following lists: - 99 things to do in Dubai - 20 most popular things to do in Dubai - All the big shopping malls in Dubai - Upcoming Events in Dubai - Secret and Unique things to do in Dubai

Whenever Visit Dubai drops a new card into a list, all the subscribers will be notified. All users can now reuse the new cards to mix & match in their very own list.

Potential to go viral

A passionate user or influencer may create a list with the most amazing rollercoaster parks in the United Arab Emirates. Therefore, it is convenient to him if he is able to work with existing cards on the platform. Another users may create a list with the most amazing rollercoaster parks in the world. However, he might not drag & drop from the original list (Visit Dubai) but from the user that has created the UAE rollercoaster list (most amazing rollercoaster parks in the United Arab Emirates). And a third user may create - again - his very own 'best of rollercoaster' list and mix & matches with very different lists he can find.

Bottom line

A single card (f.e the rollercoaster park) may find its way into hundreds or thousands of different list because we built an interconnected network.
